This course expands your breath-hold capacity and safety skills and introduces deeper relaxation techniques. Includes CNF discipline and the Molchanovs Wave 2 certificate (if requirements met).
Wave 2 is where freediving starts to feel effortless. Over four days you refine your freefall, sharpen advanced equalization, and learn the deeper relaxation that unlocks 24 to 30 metres with ease. You expand your breath-hold capacity and your safety skills, and you are introduced to Constant Weight No Fins (CNF), one of the purest disciplines in the sport. It builds directly on Wave 1 and sets you up for the semi-professional Wave 3.

Frequently asked questions
What do I need before starting Wave 2?
You need to be a certified freediver, typically Molchanovs Wave 1 or an equivalent first-level certification. Wave 2 builds directly on those foundations, so a solid Level 1 base is the starting point.
I certified with another agency. Can I still join?
Usually yes. An equivalent Level 1 / first-level certification from another system is generally accepted, but because exact equivalences vary we confirm your background before the course. Message us with your certification and we will check.
What new skills does Wave 2 teach?
Wave 2 focuses on refining your freefall, advanced equalization, and deeper relaxation to reach 24 to 30 metres with confidence. It also introduces CNF (Constant Weight No Fins), one of the purest freediving disciplines.
Can I go straight from Wave 1 to Wave 2?
Yes. Wave 2 is the direct next step after Wave 1. If you feel your foundations need a refresh first, a coaching session beforehand can help, but it is not required.
Is the certificate guaranteed?
The Molchanovs Wave 2 certificate is awarded if you meet the course requirements, including the depth and skill standards. We coach you toward them over the four days, but certification depends on meeting the standard.
